inspecting a new toy

I have been playing stringed instruments since I was 5, studied classical cello for 12 years, and picked up my first guitar when I was 10. For most of my teen years I was sure I was destined to be a metal guitar god like many of us do at that age, but as life evolved, my priorities changed direction. I have been fortunate enough to have a successful career outside of music that has consumed most of my time and energy for the last 20 years, but in the last few years have dusted off the old chops to fuel my need for some additional form of creative expression.

Currently I'm mostly playing and recording with a  Hamer Sunburst Quilttop and my old friend, a 1986 Kramer Baretta. As well, I have picked up an ESP LTD with a maple neck and a single/single/humbucker setup for some different tones, an Ibanez EWC30 acoustic-electric, and finally a 5 string OLP stingray bass which are featured in various recordings.
